Dry Needling - Tampa and St. Pete
What is Dry Needling?
We're sure by now you've heard about dry needling. In case you haven't, here's what it is and how it can help you.

Dry needling is a very thin needle, without fluid that is inserted into a tight or painful muscle, tendon, or ligament.
Dry needling can help relieve tension headaches, reduce trigger points/knots, and decrease pain! A good example is your upper trap - you feel that little ball of tissue thats a little sensitive? Yeah? Me too...thats a great example of something that can be needled and feel much better afterwards!
While dry needling is not a cure all it can certainly help, a lot.
Dry Needling:
-
Decreases your pain
-
Improves your range of motion
-
Helps you relax

What to Expect With Dry Needling:
-
Dry needling normally takes anywhere from 5-15 minutes
-
Soreness in the muscle that was needled - almost like you worked out that muscle really hard!
-
A small pinch of the needle going in/coming out
-
Potentially a twitch! This is very common and normal - think of this as "resetting" the muscle
