We're sure by now you've heard about dry needling. But in case you haven't here's what it is and how it can help in a few sentences.

Dry needling is a thin needle that is inserted into a tight or painful muscle, a tendon, or ligament. That upper trap that has 2 knots? Dry needling can help. The headaches you get while sitting at your desk during work? Dry needling can help. Tight hamstrings and calves? You guessed it, dry needling can help.

While dry needling is not a cure all it can certainly help, a lot.

Dry Needling has been shown to:

  • Decrease pain

  • Improve range of motion

  • Regulate your sympathetic nervous system to help you relax

What to Expect With Dry Needling?

  • Everyone experiences dry needling differently and it depends on where you are getting needled - but it is not considered painful by most

  • Time varies on the area being needled - some areas may take 5 minutes and others up to 15 minutes

  • Post needling muscle soreness is not uncommon but is a normal response

  • The benefits listed above

  • Dry needling is included in all sessions with your plan of care, at no extra cost
